Chris and Robin Kretschman recently spent some time visiting family, friends and churches in the United States. Their travels took them over 12,000 miles and into 20 different states, Washington DC, and Canada. They enjoyed winter and snow in the north, and spring and the beaches along the southern Atlantic coast. Wherever they went they experienced an amazing outpouring of love and acts of kindness for the Lunda people of the North-western province of Zambia.
One group of people was touched by the need for tailoring trainees to have access to tools of their trade, so purchased 30 manual sewing machines – now on route via Canada to Zambia. Another group was moved to a spontaneous offering that funded 300 Bibles in the Lunda language. Others have contributed to the building of a new accommodation block that the tailoring ladies will live in during their training.
Throughout their journeys, Chris and Robin were able to speak to many and to answer their questions. They were blessed by those who listened, who donated, and who prayed for their safety and that others would learn about Jesus.
On one of their visits, a child approached them and said, “It’s not much, but I want you have to this.” It was 86 cents – but it may as well have been a million dollars. She was giving everything she had to God’s work. Just what He is asking us all to do!
