When the Senior Chief of the area gifted land at Nyangombe to start a Bible School, the agreement included that the Lunda people would be taught skills that would raise their standard of living.

Today, Nyangombe Christian Training Centre is thriving, and its trainees are sought after throughout Zambia because of their skills and work ethic.

Skills training is significant, but so is the work of the Bible School for which the land was gifted.  Nyangombe provides opportunities for people to hear about Christ and grow in their faith.  Over recent months they have welcomed hundreds of pastors, elders, deacons, teachers, and young people.  All these people have attended Bible School sessions in order to become better equipped to teach and spread God’s Word.

Recently, the Director of the Bible School broke down in his vehicle when he was taking Bible School students to visit a local church.  While waiting for assistance from skilled mechanics, they took the opportunity to evangelise in a nearby village.  Six people accepted Christ.  A real example of how practical skills and spiritual equipping work together to reach people with the love and forgiveness of God.
