Due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 and the constantly changing restrictions in Mozambique, many of the ministry activities of the da Silvas have again been put on hold.
As well as continuing to support older people in need by supplying monthly food baskets, Wanderley and Rosaria have been looking to God to see if there were other opportunities to help those in need.
In Chimoio, where the da Silvas are based, there are many disabled people who are in need. They have recently been able to support some of them by supplying wheelchairs. For those who live with a disability in Mozambique, the individual and their family can face real hardship and have no means of support. They can become isolated and often feel a sense of abandonment as they have no means to get about. Recently a wheelchair was given to the da Silvas who were able to adapt it, and offer it to this young girl from their community who cannot speak or walk. Her family are overjoyed as they would never have been able to afford a wheelchair, which can cost around $300 USD (£215).
Please continue to pray for the people in Mozambique who are in great need after experiencing so many hardships over the last year. Pray that the da Silvas continue to find God’s strength as they serve.
