CAM International – Newslink, 6 June 2017

Dear prayer partners,

Here is some information to help you pray for CAM’s work and missionaries:-

Lloyd & Sandy Rowlands are based at the Living Waters Centre in Lubumbashi, DR CONGO. Lloyd had a good meeting in a suburban church last Sunday. Thank God. Pray for his plans for future ministry on Sundays and in seminars. On Saturday Lloyd will take project participants out to Tumbwe, where some of the maize crops are ready for harvesting. In the Living Waters orchard, the fruit is bigger than in previous years, thanks to good irrigation and fertilizer, and sales are going well. Thank God for the good harvest. Pray for it to bless many needy families. Next week, Lloyd will be driving over the border to Zambia, to collect literature and also to pick up the Garrards in Ndola and bring them to Congo for some weeks of ministry. Sandy will be preparing a house for them to use. Pray for all the preparations for this trip.

Gordon & Sybil McKillop, at Nyangombe in ZAMBIA, report that the 3-week Bible School with 65 students was excellent – no-one wanted to go home! Thank God and pray for the good teaching to transform lives and be passed on faithfully. A lot of practical work is going on, with building and trades training. Pray for this and also for Logan & Kelly Erickson, doing 3 months of youth and children’s work in the Nyangombe area.

Dave & Ruth Garrard have been ministering in ZAMBIA since the end of April, based in Ndola. On Wednesday, Dave spoke at the Bible study at the Oasis church. On Saturday they drove to Nyangombe (11 hours), where they will spend a week, with ministry arranged by the McKillops. Dave spoke at the main service there on Sunday. He started teaching senior church leaders last night and will continue through till Friday. Pray for stamina for Dave and for the pastors to be inspired and challenged. Pray for Ruth as she makes herself useful, helping Sybil with her multitude of tasks. The Garrards will travel back to Ndola on Saturday and Dave is preaching again at Oasis on Sunday. Pray for a safe journey and fruitful ministry.

Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva are on leave in BRAZIL. Rosaria’s father was 100 years old on 24 May and had been in hospital with pneumonia. However, he was discharged on 31st and last Sunday (4 June), the family had a lovely time celebrating together. Praise God! On Friday 9th, the da Silvas will be leaving for MOZAMBIQUE, their country of work, arriving in Chimoio on Saturday. Pray for them as they travel and as they settle back into their home and ministry.

Carol Seymour and Ginny Perkins are on leave in UK. Last Friday was the funeral for Ginny’s father. The burial and memorial service went well and the family were blessed by all the love shown and the happy memories shared. Thank God. Pray for Ginny’s mother, who was a full-time carer, as she grieves and adjusts to life on her own. Carol and Ginny will spend tomorrow with Ginny’s mother and then travel to Essex on Friday for the weekend, being at the Wickford church on Sunday. Pray for them to be a blessing in all their contacts and ministry.

CAM supports 65 national church planters in ETHIOPIA. Pray for them as they reach out in new areas that are hostile to the Gospel.

Thank you for praying. It means so much to our CAM personnel to have your support.
