CAM International – Newslink, 16 May 2017

Dear prayer partners,

Here is some information to help you pray for CAM’s work and missionaries:-

Lloyd & Sandy Rowlands are based at the Living Waters Centre in Lubumbashi, DR CONGO. Last Sunday night, Sandy enjoyed hosting a farewell meal for Carol and Ginny, who were leaving next day for UK (see below). There were eight around the table altogether. Pray for the Rowlands as they take on extra responsibilities and make decisions about needy people coming for help, etc. Lloyd will be doing another Christian radio broadcast on Friday. Pray for God’s anointing on all he says. Next Monday (22nd), he is going to Kasenga for another week’s teaching seminar for church leaders. Pray for travel plans, as public transport is arranged, and for Sandy as she remains behind to ‘hold the fort’.

Gordon & Sybil McKillop should have arrived back at Nyangombe, ZAMBIA, by now, after their very quick trip to UK for the Elim Missions Conference. Pray for them as they plunge back into a full programme of ministry commitments. They are expecting two visitors tomorrow and another five on Friday, all keen to get involved in helping with different ministries. Pray for all the practical arrangements with this, including Sybil’s preoccupation with meals and catering.

Dave & Ruth Garrard are currently based in Ndola, ZAMBIA. The water geyser problem has now been resolved, as they found a good new one in Kitwe last Tuesday. Dave spent quite a lot of time last week removing the old geyser and connecting the new one. Thank God! Pray for things to run smoothly now in the CAM cottage! At Kitwe, Dave & Ruth met with Lubuto Nsofu, the pastor of the church where Dave is teaching leaders all this week. Some are travelling long distances to attend. Pray for Dave as he drives to Kitwe each day for the classes (approx. 1 hour each way). Pray for his teaching to be life-changing for these church leaders. Pastor Danny Kamawe and his helpers at the Kawama church have managed to follow up over 40 children who responded after seeing the ‘Jesus’ film earlier in the month. Praise God! Pray for God to bless these children and also over 50 children who were ministered to at Sakania one week ago, when Dave went with the Oasis team.

Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva are on leave in BRAZIL. They haven’t sent any more news, but keep praying for all their medical issues to be resolved, for their promotional work in the churches, and for the intensive courses they wanted to take for teaching at the Vocational Training Centre in MOZAMBIQUE.

Carol Seymour and Ginny Perkins left Lubumbashi (Congo) yesterday to fly back here (UK). They should arrive today (16th). They have been asked to participate in the big, annual Missions Conference at the New Life Church in Croydon, London. It runs from Sun 21 – Sun 28 May. Pray for Carol and Ginny as they rest and prepare to share about their work in Congo. Pray for the Conference to have a powerful impact on all who attend. Pray for Carol and Ginny as they plan an itinerary of visiting churches in the coming weeks.

In ETHIOPIA, 65 national church planters, supported by CAM, seek to spread the Gospel in new, difficult areas. Pray for them as they persevere despite hostility and opposition.

Thank you for praying. It means so much to our CAM personnel to have your support.
